Cody is one of our patients infected with demodicosis. His fur parents were instructed to give him his take-home medications, but from time to time Cody was brought to blessed veterinary clinic by his fur parents to follow up Check up because he didn't get better from demodicosis for a year.

The medication didn't work on him, this was possible because his parents were so busy and often forgot to give his medications.

With that matter, the BVC suggested to let Cody stay in the clinic for his demodicosis treatment, same line of treatment was given to Cody.

Luckily, after six weeks, Cody is well and looks so much better.

Scabies/ Mange

Scabies of dog and cat that cause mange focus in the microscope

Sarcoptic mange is a highly contagious skin disease found in dogs, caused by the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. These mites will burrow through the skin causing intense itching and irritation. The scratching that results from mange is what causes the majority of the animal's hair to fall out.

This is a treatable medical condition, but is highly contagious for other animals and humans. Pet owners are advised to keep the dog quarantined while it is being treated for mange.
